SJSU is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Founded in 1857, San Jose State University is home to 37,133 students as of 2022. The university is in high regards because of the amount it spends on research funding.
The university offers three Bachelor of Business Administration degrees with concentrations in either accounting, finance or accounting information systems. The accounting option has topics in information systems, taxation and financial auditing. The finance concentration shares similar core requirements, but it has courses in investment analysis and commercial banking. The concentration in accounting information systems is a 120-credit hour program that has courses in risk assessment and network environments.
