The higher the average, along with strong SAT and ACT scores, greatly enhance a student's chances of being admitted into the institution of their choice. On the other hand, the lower the GPA the more narrow a student's path to higher education can become. A 2.0 average is a 'C' average and a 2.5 GPA is closer to a 'C+' average. There aren't too many colleges and universities that accept this GPA in the Michigan area. The website CAPPEX didn't have any colleges or universities in the Michigan area that accept a 2.5 area. There are around 4 to 5 colleges and universities that have an average GPA of 2.5-2.8.
