Answer:
Radio announcers are employees who present music, news, and sports over the radio, and may also supply commentary on certain topics or interview guests as part of a radio show.
The educational requirements to become a radio announcer often vary. Most announcers typically have a bachelor's degree in fields such as Journalism, Broadcasting, or Communications. Experience at radio stations, such as through internships or working at a college radio station, is also important. Some radio announcers, such as public address announcers, may only need a high school diploma and brief training.
As of May 2019, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that the median annual salary for a radio announcer was $39,790, with an average hourly rate of $19.13. The projected job growth for radio announcers from 2019 to 2029 was 1%, slower than the average for most professions.
