There are not many but few colleges in Minnesota offering programs in marine biology. University of Minnesota and Bemidji State University are offering programs in marine biology. Though the University of Minnesota offers both major and minor marine biology programs. The minor marine biology program provides students with a range of learning prospects that includes coursework, lab work, field trips and internships and chances of scholarships. Moreover, the Bemidji State University offers a four-year bachelor's degree in marine biology. In this program the students are provided with the opportunity with three areas of specialty including fishier biology, wetland ecology and aquatic system.
