Answer:

Florida State University is full of interesting facts that range from programs of academic scholarship to notable former students and alumni!

Florida State University was established in 1852 and continues to be the oldest higher education facility in Florida. While the majority of FSU students are in-state attendees, the university is proud to have both out-of-state and international students in their student body. The top five majors of FSU are biological science, pre-health professions, business, engineering and psychology. FSU is the only state university that has produced three impressive Rhodes scholars, Garrett Johnson, Joe O Shea and Myron Rolle.

The student body at FSU not only includes scholars, but also athletes, entertainers and artists. Actors Faye Dunaway, Cheryl Hines, Burt Reynolds and Richard Simmons have all attended FSU. This state university is also home to sports hero Lee Corso and astronaut Winston Scott. Self-proclaimed lizard king Jim Morrison was also briefly educated here, and the wildly interesting legendary founder of gonzo journalism Hunter S. Thompson attended night classes at FSU.
