Answer:

The renewal form for an Arizona pharmacist license is located at the Arizona Board of Pharmacy website under the tab renewal. In addition to the application, the applicant must have completed 30 credit hours of continuing education in pharmacy topics in the previous 24-month period. The fee for renewal is $180. The renewal date is October 31 and licenses must be renewed every two years. All courses can be completed by home study. Of the 30 hours required, 3 hours of training in opioid, substance use, or addition is mandatory. For those administering immunizations, vaccinations, or emergency use of epinephrine or diphenylhydramine there is additional 2 hours training requirement in immunizations. The applicable law for when an applicant can renew a license is the Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) § 32-1925(B): 'A person shall not apply for license renewal more than sixty days before the expiration date of the license.' This means that applicants can submit an application starting on September 7. The license renewal must be done online. Walk-in applications are not accepted as of September 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
