How do I get into the University of Florida s (UF) dental school?

In order to apply and be admitted for the University of Florida College of Dentistry Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry program, preparation is important. To become a competitive applicant, having good grades is an advantage as it can be an indicator of your academic performance. However, take note that there is no required minimum GPA to be admitted into the program. The school also has a strong preference for candidates who were graduates of science programs. Also, try to have relevant dental experience such as shadowing or observing clinical dental settings. In terms of requirements, take note of the ones listed below:

• Application forwarded to the Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (ADEA AADSAS)
• Completion of pre-requisite courses
• Must be a United States citizen or United States permanent resident (The school also has a preference for residents of the state of Florida.)
• Completion of the Dental Admissions Test (DAT) with a score of 15 in all sections
• Submission of 3 individual letters of evaluation or 1 committee letter and supplemental applications
• In-person interview
