Question:
How do I get Epic certification in healthcare?
Perfect School Search
Answer:
While EPIC certification is highly sought after, it is somewhat hard to obtain. To gain the EPIC certification in any of their many software models, you either have to join the EPIC company as an employee or have an employer in Healthcare that will sponsor you.
There are multiple job opportunities and multiple types of EPIC certification. Due to the vast amount of openings at EPIC, there are many degrees that you may choose to pursue to gain employment at the company that focuses on technology or healthcare such as a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Technology.
Gaining a sponsor for EPIC certification will also require you to get a degree in a related field first. After completing your degree, gaining employment at a hospital or health care system that uses EPIC's software or is looking to implement their system.
Once you are in the program, you will be allowed to train at EPIC's main facility at Madison, Wisconsin that ends with an exam to prove you're capable enough for the certification.
