Answer:

Case managers or assessors must complete an online training and pass a final examination to receive certification for administering the 701B Comprehensive Assessment to clients. Florida's Department of Elder Affairs oversees certification of home health and personal care aides, and the Department of Management Services (DMS) hosts the online training needed for certification to administer the 701B Comprehensive Assessment. Information about registering for training and training resources can be found on Florida's Department of Elder Affairs website under the 701B training section. You can register for training by emailing the training administrator, at which time an account will be created and instructions will be sent via email.

The 701B Comprehensive Assessment is used to assess clients enrolled in programs provided by Florida's Department of Elder Affairs. The assessment is administered annually to monitor the health conditions of a client. When changes in a client's condition are noted, case managers use this information to help determine what resources would be most beneficial for a client at that time. Case managers meet face-to-face with clients to administer the 701B Comprehensive Assessment. The assessment reviews the client's health, living situation, caregiver, environment, and income.
