Does cognitive science count as a science for dental school?
Question:
Does cognitive science count as a science for dental school?
Perfect School Search
Answer:
Cognitive science is categorized as Behavioral Science, which is not a component of your science GPA.
The Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) calculates your science GPA using courses from the Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Other Science, and Physics categories. AADSAS has a detailed list of what courses belong to which category in the Course Subjects subsection of the Academic History section of the AADSAS application website. AADSAS recommends defaulting to the department a course was offered through if the course title does not make it clear which category the course belongs to when entering your transcripts. AADSAS team members will update incorrect entries to the correct category when they are processing your application. AADSAS offers a transcript entry service for an additional fee, calculated based on how many transcripts you wish to have entered. Details on the transcript entry program, and instructions for entering transcripts yourself are available on the AADSAS website.
