Answer:
You can be a medical assistant with a Registered Nurse (RN) certification. In America, most states do not require medical assistants to have license to work as a meical assistant. Certifications and registrations are also not necessary to be an eligible medical assistant worker. Although you are not obliged to be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), being a CMA will help ypu develop skills and certain levels of knowledge that you may not get from on-the-job trainings alone. You may take CMA exams by applying for certifying programs through the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). A CMA is required to have a post-secondary medical assisting program with accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Only those who are qualified for the said prerequisite can take the CMA certification exam. You may also obtain a medical assistant diploma which allows an individual to work in medical offices and will be provided an on-the-job training with internship programs.
