Answer:

Western Governors University (WGU) is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), and therefore credits earned at Western Governors University can be accepted as transfer credit at the University of Washington. In general, college-level coursework that was completed in courses that are appropriate for the student's intended program of study at the University of Washington are usually accepted as transfer credit. However, the University of Washington does not accept remedial coursework, credits earned through the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), coursework that is below college-level, coursework in religious doctrine, repeated courses or courses with duplicate subject content, and courses that were completed as non-credit continuing education units. Furthermore, the University of Washington only allows transfer students to apply a maximum of 90 credits of lower-division transfer coursework and a total of 135 transfer credits toward the 180 credits that are necessary to earn a degree at the University of Washington.
