Answer:
Reflexology has a good career map for those who are able to perform physically demanding jobs, and at the same time, have an interest in a therapeutic profession.
Reflexologists, who help to alleviate stress through sequential pressure that is applied to the hands, feet, and outer ears, should have an associate's or bachelor's degree in massage therapy, along with the license as per the requirements of the state. Further, a minimum of 500 hours of work experience is required for state licensing. Exercise physiology, nutrition, and pharmacology are some of the courses included in the massage therapy programs. The massage therapists may work in fitness centers, health spas, massage therapy franchises, and yoga studios.
Again, certifications, licensing, and membership in professional associations will aid in advancements in the career.
As per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of massage therapists is predicted to grow by 22% from the year 2018 to 2028.
