Perfect School Search

Answer:

Individuals who wish to obtain a Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification must complete a PCA training and course offered by numerous technical schools and colleges in the United States. The PCA course may be completed in 2-4 weeks depending on the course length offered by their preferred school. The PCA certification rewarded by these schools are accredited by the state's health department. Hence, the only way to obtain a PCA certificate in the country is by enrolling to any school offering a PCA course. Since most PCA's will likely be hired to stay in their client's home, PCAs will be trained to assist clients in completing daily activities such as exercising, walking, grooming, or bathing. In addition to this, cleaning and sanitation will also be discussed in the course since PCAs are expected to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation for their clients.
