Students earning a degree in theology examine the human experience of faith, explore how different cultures and people express their faith, cover challenging philosophical and ethical discussions, and develop a variety of skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, and the analysis of social and historical trends.

While many theology majors pursue a career in the church as a minister or pastor, other graduates find jobs outside the ministry, such as counselors, ethicists, historians, social workers, teachers, or writers.
