Plumbing and Heating Program (Day)
This daytime program is targeted at students looking for a full-time education and immediate job placement after graduation. The 7-month program includes 819 hours of training and counts toward apprenticeship credit. Students receive instruction in plumbing codes, piping techniques, drain repair and cleaning, fixture installation, roughing in of bathroom and kitchen plumbing, steam and hot water heating systems, and plumbing troubleshooting.
Plumbing Apprenticeship (Evening)
The evening apprenticeship program requires students to be sponsored by their employer or union. The apprenticeship program lasts four years, and students must complete at least 144 hours per year. This program covers topics such as piping techniques, plumbing codes, blueprints, and technical math for plumbing. Installation and maintenance of plumbing system fixtures, equipment, and appliances are other classes that are covered.
