Essential Information

While in an aesthetics certificate program, students learn the basics of regular skin care, including preventive maintenance and treatments. Aesthetics programs typically require that students attend both classroom lectures and gain laboratory experience, through which they can put their lessons to practical use in a simulated spa environment. Skin care programs are also open to working professionals who are looking to expand their cosmetology skills. Many programs provide evening and weekend courses.
