Program Description:

Keller Graduate School of Management's Master's degree program in Accounting and Financial Management examines the application of accounting information to management planning through cost analysis, operational budgeting, capital budgeting, and performance measurement. Students have the opportunity to study generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting information systems. Coursework also covers financial accounting practices, cash accounting, inventories, long-term assets, intangible assets, liabilities, stockholders' equity, tax liabilities, and dilutive securities. The integrative capstone requires that students complete a project in which they consider the responsibilities of a chief financial officer. Students must choose one of three emphasis areas: CPA for those intending to sit for the Texas CPA exam; CPA for those taking the exam in another state; or finance.
