Aspiring students of the Associate in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design program should have earned a high school diploma or the equivalent. They should also have some experience or interest in working with computers to create designs and models for a wide range of mechanical, manufacturing, and architectural businesses.
Program Description:
Students of Virginia College's Associate in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design program have the opportunity to learn about 3D graphics, 3Dmodeling, architectural drafting, customization, and other topics relating to this area of study. Basic, intermediate, and advanced courses in many of these subjects are included in the curriculum. Students also have the opportunity to develop a portfolio. Computer-aided drafting and other software is supplied by Virginia College. The program is offered at three Virginia College campuses.
