Program Description:

The Associate of Arts with a concentration in Communications program at University of Phoenix is designed to prepare students for careers in telecommunications, journalism, broadcasting, and other areas of mass communication. Program coursework covers communication theories, interpersonal communication, graphics, communication strategies, and communication technologies. Courses are also offered in research writing, cultural diversity, and critical thinking.

60 credits. Courses are taken in complementary pairs and are nine weeks in length. Those enrolled in this program must complete the required credits in mathematics, physical/biological sciences, social sciences, and the humanities in addition to 18 credits in communications.
