Program Description:

Coursework in UAGC's Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education program is broken down into three areas: early childhood education, child development, and education. Students could be introduced to concepts in child nutrition, early childhood curriculum development, developmental theory, inclusion practices in early childhood environments, and collaboration and communication with parents and community leaders. Other courses may focus on stages of development such as motor, social, cognitive, and language skills; trends in early childhood education; and the selection and use of children's books for preschool students. All students in a College of Education program must complete a capstone that requires them to demonstrate their understanding of theories and concepts studied throughout the curriculum as learned in their specific field of study.
