Prospective students of the University of Arizona Global Campus's Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education program should have a passion for preparing children for academic success and desire to prepare for positions in daycares and preschools. Program Description:

UAGC's online A.A. in Early Childhood Education program is designed to help students build a foundation in child learning basics and study instructional strategies to develop a child's emotional, educational, and social needs. This program may prepare students to transfer into a bachelor's degree program, boosting career opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. Students can learn about topics like child development, learning assessment, special learners, and more. The program also aims to produce educators who can support the diverse learning needs of each child, use assessment data to develop curriculum, create a classroom management strategy that is culturally responsive, and maintain ethical and professional standards. Courses are five weeks long and taken one at a time.

Required Courses for the Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education:

Students of UAGC's Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education program are required to complete 67 credits, including 40 credits of general education, 21 credits for core requirements, and 12 credits of electives.
