Program Description:

Students enrolled in this Bachelor in Sound and Motion Picture Technical Arts program have the opportunity to learn recording practices for on-location and studio productions, exploring how to use such equipment as booms, microphones, cranes, and dolly systems. They'll also have the ability to examine fundamental music and audio basics, not limited to musical scales and chords, sound waves, acoustics, and decibels. What's more, the program is designed to teach students field-specific business issues pertaining to contract development, public relations, workforce management, and intellectual property issues. Students will also have the chance to learn to use leading industry tools, such as Avid Pro Tools, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Photoshop. In addition, the course is designed to include a professional work experience.
