Program Description:
Students enrolled in this industrial design technology program have the opportunity to learn how to manually and digitally render creative design concepts. The curriculum is designed to teach participants how to operate tools to construct models from such materials as plastics, styrene, and wood. In addition, participants will also have the chance to learn to integrate various mechanical pieces, including motors and cables, when needed. Before finishing the program, they'll have the ability to compile a portfolio for potential employers in order to demonstrate their abilities. Depending on the school, specializations in special effects or product development may be available.
