Program Description:

Sanford-Brown's Diploma in Pharmacy Technician program is designed to teach students about topics such as inventory and billing, pharmacy computing, medication preparation, and customer service care. Other topics covered in the diploma program include maintaining patient records, dispensing medications, mixing drugs with parenteral fluids, and labeling stock. An externship is required and must be completed in order for the diploma to be awarded.

The certificate program consists of 60 credits and 900 contact hours. An externship is offered towards the end of the course and consists of 260 contact hours.
