Program Description:
When Saint Leo University designed the Bachelor of Arts in Middle Grades Education with a specialization in English program, they did it with the idea of creating passionate teachers who can guide future generations to a lifelong love of creative writing and literature. Students will have a chance to take courses in a diverse array of topics, from adolescent literacy and curriculum development to educational assessment and teaching philosophies. The English specialization focuses on the study of literature and techniques for giving instruction to different types of students. Through the internship program, conferences, and professional prep seminar, students have the opportunity to gain experience in real classrooms and get ready for the job market.
