Program Description:
The Master of Science in Nursing - DNP Path with Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Population Focus Area program is aimed at educating nurses on how to provide care to adults and senior adults with a variety of ailments. As part of this program, students will gain experience analyzing research critically, developing health care policies, serve in a leadership position, and create treatment plans and how to approach their work ethically. Additionally, students will learn how to advocate for their patients, serve as a health educator, and provide care in a way that is sensitive to their patients' cultural values. Each course will take about 10 weeks to complete, and the program will culminate in four clinical experiences that deal with different populations and primary care techniques.
