Program Description:

The Doctor of Education program with a concentration in Learning Analytics in K-12 Education offered by Northcentral University includes core education courses, specialization courses, a capstone course, and a dissertation requirement. Students have the opportunity to study key theories, best practices, and current applications of learning analytics for K-12 education environments. Some of the additional topics covered in the specialization courses include types of K-12 analytics tools and their functions, common problems and considerations with learning analytic projects, and aligning analytic projects to school priorities and needs. Within the capstone course, students will have the opportunity to design a theoretical K12 analytics project that addresses several analytic challenges covered within the course of this program.
