Program Description:

The Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership: Higher Education Leadership (Qualitative Research) program at Grand Canyon University is designed to educate students in various managerial aspects of postsecondary administration. Courses will provide study in higher education budgeting and fundraising, strategic planning, and facilities management. Students could also expect to learn more about the history of higher education, governance in higher education, organizational behaviors, and the mission and vision of higher education institutions. By taking a qualitative approach to studies and dissertation research, students of this program learn to analyze patterns and trends that influence postsecondary institutional management. In the program's two residencies, students have the opportunity to apply hands-on research methods and orally present and defend their research; the dissertation is completed through a 3-part process under the guidance of a dissertation committee.
