Program Prerequisites:

Individuals who are interested in this program should possess good communication, time management, and interpersonal skills as well as an interest in working in a medical environment. Applicants to an ACS program have interrupted his or her studies for at least two consecutive semesters or one school year, have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies, or have an agreement between the college and an employer or by a government program. All CDI College applicants must be high school graduates or the equivalent. Some programs may have additional requirements.

Program Description:

The Specialist in Applied Information Technology - LCE.3V Option: Medical Office Assistant program is designed for aspiring medical assistants who are looking for hands-on training in industry current software programs. The courses help students gain skills in multiple Microsoft Office applications, including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Other courses help students learn more about the structure of health care environments and how to create, modify, and manage patient files and medical documents. This program is offered in French and English.
