Applicants to the Pharmacy Technician diploma program should be interested in a career in the pharmaceutical field. They may also have strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills. All CDI College applicants must be high school graduates or the equivalent. Some programs may have additional requirements.
Program Description:
Students who choose to enroll in the Pharmacy Technician program offered by CDI College have the chance to develop the pharmaceutical knowledge and customer service skills needed for successful careers as pharmacy technicians. Prospective techs are able to learn about compounding, dispensing, pharmacy mathematics, and drug delivery systems. Additionally, students are able to gain customer service skills and learn about different pharmaceutical environments, including institutional pharmacies, community pharmacies, and hospital pharmacies. This program also includes a practicum where students can develop real-world skills in a community pharmacy and a hospital pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician Program of CDI College has been awarded full accreditation by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP).
