About ECPI University
Founded in 1966, ECPI University began its growth in 1984 when it added a second campus. Since then, the university has gained accreditation, added many more locations, introduced online learning opportunities, and expanded its areas of study. Today, ECPI offers undergraduate degrees in such diverse areas as nursing, management, digital forensics, medical radiography, dental assisting, culinary arts, and software development as well as master's degrees in nursing, business, information systems, and software engineering. Diplomas are also awarded in massage therapy, medical assisting, practical nursing, and baking and pastry arts. A convenient, flexible online Master of Business Administration program is offered for professionals who can complete their advanced degree while maintaining their busy schedule.
On-campus students enjoy the flexibility of taking day, evening, or weekend classes with small class sizes and hands-on learning in its many programs, while online studies provide an interactive and collaborative education with courses taught by faculty held to the same standards as on-campus instructors. ECPI makes it easy for online students to maintain contact with peers and instructors through chats, texting, and social media, and learning is enhanced through using the most advanced simulation software.
ECPI ranks in the top ten from Community College Week for the number of graduates in areas of nursing, computer and information and support services, health sciences, and engineering technologies, and is named #2 by Military Times for the Best Colleges for Veterans. In 2018, the university was even recognized by U.S. News & World Report for having Best Online Bachelor's Programs. This school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and several of its programs are accredited and approved by such institutions as the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), American Culinary Federations, Inc., the Federal Aviation Administration, Commission on Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
