There are a number of academic, honor, service, spiritual, and social organizations on campus. The Patriot Athletic Department offers 12 sport programs, and all of the university's intercollegiate sport teams are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), as well as the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
Academics
Although Dallas Baptist University has eight academic divisions and 68 undergraduate majors, the university maintains a small average class size of about 14 students. The main library is the Vance Memorial Library, and the library collection contains 16 special collections, including the Baptist Heritage Collection. The College of Humanities and Social Sciences has several majors for undergraduate students seeking a liberal arts education in an area such as criminal justice, history, political science, and sociology. Students who wish to major in biblical studies, camp and sport ministry, Christian studies, and philosophy may do so within the College of Christian Faith.
