Broward College is a 4-year public college with ten campuses and centers throughout Broward County. It enrolls more than 30,900 students per year and offers degree and certificate programs in areas including business, construction, public safety and health sciences. The Computer Science Department offer Web design training through its associate's degree programs in Internet services technology and multimedia technology as well as certificates in Web development.
The 35-credit Web Development Specialist Technical Certificate program includes instruction in common Web design applications such as Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash. Students with an associate's degree can continue their education through the Advanced Technical Certificate in Multimedia Web Development program. This program includes courses in database management, Web animation, Java scripting, website design and advanced multimedia animation are included. The Associate in Applied Science in Digital Media/Multimedia Technology program includes studies in Web design and development. Students master software programs like Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash and After Effects. Coursework also covers digital video and audio editing, digital post-production, computer literacy and 3-D animation.
