Laramie County Community College
Laramie County Community College is a public school located right in the fringe town of Cheyenne, Wyoming. It was founded in 1968 and currently serves a student body of more than 6,000 individuals each year through 82 associate's degree programs and 27 certificate and vocational programs. The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools accredits the school.
The five academic divisions at Laramie County Community College host programs related to business, agriculture and computer technology; education, natural and social sciences; arts and humanities; health sciences and wellness; and workforce and community development. The Business, Agriculture and Computer Technology Division offers associate's degree and certificate programs in computer information technology that allow students to choose a concentration in Web design.
Web Design Programs
Web Designer Certificate
This program equips students with the specific vocational skills they need to gain entry-level positions in Web design. Courses cover webpage authoring, basic computer information systems, Web development tools, e-commerce website design and multimedia. The 18 credit hours can be applied toward the school's associate's degree program in Web design.
Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems, Web Design
This 2-year program includes many of the same core courses as the Web designer certificate program. It is designed to help students meet their career goals while also providing them with a well-rounded educational background. Core courses introduce computer science, business and information management. Students must complete 20 hours' worth of general education courses in the subjects of mathematics, English, history, economics and physical education.
