Winston-Salem State University is a historically black university that was founded in 1892. U.S. News & World Report ranked this university #19 (tied) among the Best Historically Black Colleges and Universities in 2022. It has a student population of 5,190 as of 2018.
The university offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program, which teaches about the design and development of computer programs and software systems.
