Richfield is located just south of downtown Minneapolis and west of St. Paul. In 2021, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population of Richfield at 36,527. Nearly 65.4 percent of the city's residents identified as white in 2021, with more than 19.2 percent identifying as Hispanic or Latino, over 11 percent as black or African American and more than 5 percent as Asian.
Richfield's weather is traditionally cold in the winter and mild in the summer.
