According to the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Economic Analysis, Pennsylvania ranks 19th in the nation for gross domestic product (GDP) by state with a gross state product of approximately $931.7 billion in 2022. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported an average hourly wage of $26.68 for all occupations as of May 2021. Additionally, the BLS reported a civilian labor force of just over 6.4 million in the state and an unemployment rate of 4.0% in May 2021.
