According to the US Census Bureau, the state had a population of approximately 3.1 million in 2022. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported an average hourly wage of $24.56 for all occupations, as of May 2021. In February 2023, the BLS also reported a civilian labor force of about 1.5 million and an unemployment rate of 5.5%. The employment rate during the April to May 2020 period was high due to the pandemic.

According to CareerOneStop.org, these will be the fastest-growing careers in Nevada between 2020-2030. These occupations are projected to have anywhere from 51% - 100% growth during that decade. Aerospace Engineers, and Bicycle Repairers, however, can expect more rapid growth at a rate of 100% each in the ten-year period.
