New York City Schools with MBA Programs
There are several options available for individuals looking for MBA programs in New York City (NYC), including those available at the three schools profiled below. Program costs are detailed in the school comparison table; additional programs options can be found at the end of the article.
- CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College, a member of the City University of New York (CUNY) located two miles from the downtown, offers programs for full-time and part-time students.
- Students looking to earn an accelerated part-time MBA program might be interested in New York University, located just over one mile from the downtown. NYU also offers a traditional part- and full-time options.
- MBA students seeking a school that accepts applicants on a rolling basis might want to look at Touro College, also located about three miles from New York City's downtown.

CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College
The graduate programs at CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College are intended for working professionals who want to earn their MBA as full-time or part-time students. Through the Zicklin School of Business, students can choose from specialized MBA programs, in addition to a general business option and a joint program for those pursuing a Juris Doctor.
Full-Time MBA
Admission to the full-time MBA program is very competitive, and applications are only accepted for the fall semester each year. The program is offered in a cohort format and can be completed in four semesters. It features a core set of courses for all MBA students to take, totaling 18 credit hours. Core courses include managing people and organizations, business communications, business relationships and international business. After completing the core coursework, electives and specialization courses, students finish the program with a capstone course focused on business consulting.
Evening MBA
The part-time MBA program can typically be completed in three years. Classes are offered during the evenings, but students can also find some daytime summer and January courses as well. Course options in the flexible program are equivalent to the full-time program; students just take fewer courses each term.
New York University
Students begin New York University's MBA training with the LAUNCH program, where they'll look at current issues in the world where business can have a positive impact. Speakers include industry leaders, alumni and others. Roughly 20% of admitted full-time students are awarded merit-based scholarships.
Full-Time MBA
Students can choose up to three specializations out of 25 available options. Specialization options include economics, digital marketing, product management and supply chain management. The full-time program can be completed in two years; it features a career development program, on-campus recruiting and job postings.
Part-Time MBA
Students in the part-time program take classes either once or twice a week on weeknights or weekends. Students may take from two to six years to earn their degree. This program allows student to take up as many as three specializations. Students take most of their courses at the campus where they enrolled, but have the option to take up to five courses at another campus.
Accelerated 2-Year MBA
The accelerated program at New York University offers courses Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturdays during the day. Core courses include global economy, leadership in organizations, firms & markets, basic finance and professional responsibility. You'll take on real world issues through the Stern Solutions learning opportunities, and be able to take courses internationally at 74 partner schools.
Touro College
There are seven MBA specializations for students to choose from at Touro College, including forensic accounting, general management and international business finance. Students who don't have the right prerequisite courses for the MBA program must take a graduate business preparatory course.
MBA
Core courses in the MBA program include ethics in the global marketplace, quantitative analysis and managerial finance. Students are required to complete core courses, a capstone course, and the remaining 12 credits are used for the courses in the student's chosen specialization. Students are admitted on a rolling basis, allowing them to start taking courses in the spring or fall semesters.
Other School Options
MBA degrees are also available at Pace University, located roughly three miles from downtown NYC, Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus, which is about four miles from NYC and Wagner College, roughly ten miles outside of NYC.
