In comparison, software developers were expected to have a 22% increase in employment, while database administrators might see a 10% growth.

In the May 2020 salary report, the BLS stated that computer systems analysts had a median salary annually of $93,730. That same report showed a median annual salary of $110,140 for software developers. A median annual wage of $98,860 was noted for database administrators.

Continuing Education

Master's holders may continue their education through the completion of a doctoral or graduate certificate program in computer science or a related field. Within the program, students may explore topics in software design, information assurance, Web data management and multimedia systems.

Even though it is not possible to pursue a master's degree in Internet computing, there are several similar programs that can provide relevant training in computer-related topics for students who want to work in the IT field or pursue doctoral studies in subjects like computer science.
