Meeting, Convention, and Event Planner

Meeting, convention, and event planners work with a variety of people including clients wanting their event planned as well as various vendors. To be able to work well with other people, event planners might do well with a personable personality because they can be agreeable in different situations and have a positive outlook on the job. Event planners ensure that all involved in an event is paid in a timely manner and expectations for the client's event met. Most meeting, convention, and event planners need a bachelor's degree and experience in the field.

Registered Nurse

Registered nurses work with patients that need someone to be pleasant and helpful while being taken care of, which those with a personable personality can easily do. These nurses diagnose and treat patients while also helping them to stay calm in the situation they are in. They also must be able to adequately communicate with other healthcare professionals to help with patient injuries and illnesses. Registered nurses need either an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing or a diploma from a nursing program and must pass the NCLEX-RN licensing exam.

Customer Service Representative

Customer service representatives are available to answer customer questions and deal with complaints. Representatives need to act in a positive, helpful manner as well as be likeable so customers can easily communicate with them. Customer service representatives also take orders, bills customers, and sell products and services. Customer service representatives generally need a high school diploma and complete on-the-job training, though many employers tend to hire those that are good with people and are knowledgeable in computer use.

Elementary Teacher

Elementary teachers plan, educate, and assess students. To help with the educating process, teachers must be able to relate to their students and engage them in the content they are learning. They show personable qualities through their outgoing nature and positivity in the classroom. Elementary teachers must have a bachelor's degree and pass a state test for licensure.

Receptionist

Receptionists interact with people on the phone and in person to schedule appointments, when greeting customers upon arrival, and guiding customers to where they need to go. People in this position need to be professional, as well as helpful and pleasant to be around. It also might be helpful to have an outgoing personality to help when interacting with customers and other employees. Receptionists generally need a high school diploma and excellent communication skills, though these requirements do vary depending on the employer.

Flight Attendant

Flight attendants normally are personable individuals. They show their generosity while accommodating passengers on a plane, stay positive in difficult situations to help passengers remain calm, and are outgoing and can easily communicate with passengers to make their travel easier. Flight attendants also assist in safety procedures to ensure passengers remain calm and safe on their journey. Flight attendants must have a high school diploma and be Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified.

Child, Family, and School Social Worker

Child, family, and school social workers must be personable people to help easily guide people. While working with a wide variety of ages and personalities, social workers must be empathetic and professional as well as show a positive attitude to help families in need of assistance. These social workers help with adoption, fostering, and children that may have been abused. Child, family, and school social workers must have a bachelor's degree.

Hairdressers, Hairstylist, and Cosmetologist

Hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists must have excellent customer service skills to keep and gain new customers. They must show personable qualities such as being likeable, outgoing, and pleasant to make a customer's experience enjoyable. Hairdressers normally color, cut, wash, and inspect a customer's hair along with dealing with the business aspect. Hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists must be licensed by a cosmetology program, though some employers also require a high school diploma.
