What does a CRM Application Architect Do?

CRM application architects work with software database suites such as Salesforce. Salesforce is a customer relations management (CRM) system designed to improve business-customer interactions to maximize profitability for an organization. CRM architects design and implement customer relations procedures and applications using web-based APIs, Apex, VisualForce, and other coding solutions.

CRM architects program extensively in SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and REST (Representational State Transfer) environments. They employ SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language) to develop and maintain efficient data queries in the Salesforce suite. CRM application architects also create programs using a number of web-based computer programming languages including AJAX, JSON, CSS, and HTML5.

Architects work as code debuggers within the Salesforce CRM suite with a focus on ensuring accurate data queries. They provide training to other IT professionals and coordinate with network administrators. They analyze, identify, and correct any defects or inefficiencies in the CRM suite. They work on specific functions including workflow processes, custom query tables, rules validation, and process-builders.

CRM application architects serve in management and lead research initiatives to improve the CRM system. They research new methods to facilitate discussions with other information technology professionals. They also actively work with Salesforce customer outreach components such as chats and AppExchange.
