Judson University in Illinois had 1,034 undergraduate students in 2018, per the NCES. The university offers an interior design major that includes collaborative learning in studios, practical experience through real projects and access to professionals in the field. Students in the program also have unique experiences and networking opportunities available to them thanks to the school's proximity to Chicago. Students wishing to grow spiritually can attend chapel services, small groups, global outreach projects, service projects and social justice activities.
Oklahoma Christian University
Oklahoma Christian University has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Interior Design program that includes an interior design internship requirement. Students in the program also take a senior studio course at the end of the program and create their professional portfolio throughout their studies. Spiritual life on campus includes a variety of chapel services, such as Women's Chapel and Missions Chapel, in addition to mission trips, local service activities, praise and worship services and a unique online Bible reading plan with devotionals written by members of the university community. In 2018, the NCES reported that the university had 1,905 undergraduate students.
Texas Christian University
Texas Christian University (TCU) helps students grow in their faith by offering chapel services, pastoral care and a variety of events organized by TCU Disciples on Campus, like spiritual retreats, mentoring programs (Toolbox) and small groups (Lily Pads). The university had 9,445 undergraduate students in 2018, per the NCES. The school offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Interior Design program. Students must pass a first-year portfolio review before they are allowed to advance to second-year coursework. They must also complete a summer internship before their senior year.
Anderson University
According to the NCES, Anderson University in South Carolina had 2,881 undergraduate students in 2018. The university offers a BA in Interior Design that includes a portfolio review prior to advanced coursework in the major. The program also sponsors a chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and prepares students to pass the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate exam in addition to the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NICDQ) exam. Students can grow in their faith and find fellowship in several different campus ministries, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), small groups, Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), community service and Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM).
California Baptist University
California Baptist University is home to the College of Architecture, Visual Art and Design, which offers a BA in Interior Design. The degree program is unique in that it has elective focus areas in architectural representation, religion and built environment, human factors in design and construction management to help students customize their degrees. The university encourages spiritual growth with chapel services, local and global service opportunities and discipleship ministries that include Tribes (missional communities) and discipleship groups. In 2018, the university had 7,855 undergraduate students, according to the NCES.
