Here we discuss some of these factors for a few schools to help students make the best decision for them.
Gardner-Webb University
Gardner-Webb University had a little over 2,000 undergraduate students in 2020, according to the NCES. The university's Broyhill School of Management, housed within the Godbold School of Business, offers bachelor of science degree programs in accounting, marketing, business administration, sport management, economics/finance, computer information systems, international business administration and healthcare management. Students in business degree programs at the school have a unique opportunity to apply to a Leadership Academy that is offered in partnership with Isothermal Community College and aims to develop leadership skills in students through various activities. The university has a wide range of student ministries to help students grow in their faith, including men's and women's small group ministries, gospel choir, athletics ministry, multimedia ministry and the Gathering (student-led worship).
Belmont Abbey College
Belmont Abbey College offers bachelor's degree programs in accounting, business management and sport management, but also offers minors and/or concentrations in areas like strategic management, marketing, management information systems, international business, healthcare management, finance, economics, entrepreneurship and actuarial science. The university has an internship program that students from various majors can utilize to obtain hands-on experience for credit or experience-only and requires students to fill out an Internship Contract. In 2020, the undergraduate college had a little over 1,500 students. For their spiritual growth, the college offers a variety of spiritual services/activities, including an Adoration Chapel for prayer and worship, community service opportunities, social justice activities like March for Life and male and female Households fellowship groups.
Bennett College
Bennett College is a unique, undergraduate, all-female, Historically Black College that had about 500 students in 2020, per the NCES. Spiritual life activities/ministries that are offered through campus ministries include gospel choir, Student Christian Fellowship, Spirit of David Dance Ministry, Sew Simple! Haitian Dress Project and the Prayers Ball. Students interested in studying business can pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and/or minors in entrepreneurship or economics. Students in the program are required to participate in internships for hands-on learning and gain appreciation for the diversity of a global community.
Campbell University
Spiritual life at Campbell University includes opportunities for spiritual retreats, mission trips, community service and joining small groups and/or campus ministries like Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM), Ignite, gospel choir and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). The university offers bachelor's degree programs in international business, business administration, accounting, economics, finance, trust and wealth management, healthcare management, marketing and PGA golf management. The school also has undergraduate certificate programs and minors in business, as well as a unique 4+1 option where students earn their bachelor's and master's degree in 5 years, instead of 6 years. According to the NCES, the university had 4,000 undergraduate students in 2020.
Montreat College
In 2020, Montreat College had close to 800 undergraduate students, per the NCES. The college offers a unique bachelor's degree program specifically in music business, but also has a traditional bachelor's degree program in business administration. Students in the business administration program can choose from concentrations in marketing, music business, sports management, cybersecurity, international business or business management and participate in internships at local and regional businesses. The college has twice-weekly Convocation and Chapel services, service opportunities, prayer groups and Bible studies to encourage students' spiritual growth.
