When do classes start at the University of Arizona Global Campus?

Question:

When do classes start at the University of Arizona Global Campus?

Answer:

The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) operates on a continuous (also known as non-term) academic calendar rather than traditional semesters or quarters. According to UAGC's 2021-22 academic catalog, UAGC students "typically take one course at a time and move to the next course in the program sequence without a break." However, there is an annual two-week break in winter from the end of December through the beginning of January when courses are not scheduled.

Students typically take 2 classes at a time and start their program during one of the following start dates:

  • Early August
  • Mid-October
  • Early January
  • Mid-March
  • Late May

Undergraduate (bachelor's degree) courses are typically about 5 weeks long. Graduate (master's degree) courses are typically about 6 weeks long. Doctoral courses are typically 6 or 9 weeks long.

The University of Arizona Global Campus is regionally-accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
