What liberal arts classes should one take for a computer science major?

A computer science major should take liberal arts classes that are based on their interests and what brings them joy. The Princeton University website states that the liberal arts includes the humanities, the arts, natural sciences, and social sciences. In these classes, students learn to read, write, and think critically which is an important skill to have in everyday life and not just in academia. At Princeton, a student can "major in computer science and earn a certificate in theater" (admissions.princeton.edu). At Princeton, minor programs were once called certificate programs. They are now called minors and a computer science major can choose any liberal arts class that will be useful to them. For example, if a computer science major desires courses that will complement their major, they can take classes in Applications of Computing, Applied and Computational Mathematics, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Society, Neuroscience, Linguistics, or Statistics and Machine Learning. Princeton is used as an example in this case, so keep in mind that different schools will have different course offerings. It is important for a student to do their research to find out what a school has to offer.
