- Rules and Regulations - Bank examiner develops and implements guidelines for procedures that comply with set regulations. They review and analyze new regulations before establishing them to determine their benefits to the organization.
- Assessments - Bank examiners assess and monitor the conditions of financial institutions and ensure they offer safe loans that comply with the organization's laws and transactions in order for them to manage unexpected losses. They also make sure that every transaction of banks is legally operated and safe. They are responsible for making sure that people do not lose money that they entrust to the bank. They often review balance sheets, assets, loans, and expenses to confirm the institution's resources.
- Management - Bank examiner examine every meeting of managers and directors to identify possible problems that may affect the organization. They train and monitor other examiners about consumer compliance in order for them to assess and ensure that borrowers are treated fairly.
