There exists a distinct Spirit Foundation under the jurisdiction of Auburn University that is responsible for offering a Legacy Scholarship. The name of the award is the True Blue Legacy Scholarship. It is specifically designed for individuals whose parents (or guardians) or siblings graduate from Auburn University's main campus in Alabama. Thus, being a relative of alumni is a mandate to avail of this scholarship. The award applies only to incoming first-year students who enroll in the full-time academic programs at the university. The university offers $4,000 per academic year, with the total pay being $16,000 after four years. The scholarship amount varies depending on other merit scholarships that the university awards to high-achieving students. Students are required to meet the following criteria to become qualified for the Auburn Legacy Scholarship:
1. A minimum of 3.5 on the Grade Point Average at the high school level
2. A minimum of 28 on the American College Testing
3. At least 1320 on the Scholastic Assessment Test (according to the present scale)
