The grading scale followed at Penn Foster is a scale of 4. It is very similar to that followed in most of the colleges in the U.S. Gradings are a crucial impact factor in the academic part of a career and it reflects the performance of an individual in an academic setting. Gradings are provided based on the performance of a student on exams conducted during the academic years. All examinations and projects are graded on a scale of 4, represented by letter grades, and tagged with percentage secured. In college, graduate studies require a GPA of 2 or higher, a percentage of 70 or above, and letter grade C or higher such as B and A to receive an associate or bachelor's degree. Earning a high-school diploma from Penn Foster requires a minimum of 65%, competition of 21.5 credits, and letter equivalent D or higher as A, B, and C. Passing of all courses involved in the program together with cumulative GPA provides high school diploma and higher-level degrees.
